How credits work
The monthly pool
Section titled “The monthly pool”- One pool per workspace. Every person and both apps spend from the same balance.
- Refills on the 1st. At the start of each month (midnight US Eastern time) your balance is topped back up to your plan’s level. A new or upgraded plan tops up to the new level right away.
- Plan credits don’t roll over. The refill brings you back to your plan’s level; it doesn’t add on top of what’s left.
- Credit packs never expire. Credits you buy stay until you use them. If pack credits keep your balance at or above your plan’s level, that month’s refill adds nothing.
| Plan | Credits a month |
|---|---|
| Studio Designer | 200 |
| Studio Pro | 500 |
| Studio Team | 2,000 |
| Plunk Commerce | Included allowance, see plunk.io/pricing |
What things cost
Section titled “What things cost”You see the total before anything runs: batch jobs show it on the review step, and bulk reruns show it on the confirmation.
| What you make | About |
|---|---|
| An image (a fabric, finish or option change, a cleaned-up product photo, a Content Hub image edit) | 13 credits |
| A Standard video clip (8 seconds) | 19 credits silent, 24 with sound |
| A Best video clip (8 seconds) | 47 credits silent, 92 with sound |
| Finishing a product video (checks, voiceover, putting it together) | A few credits |
| Boards, share links, line sheets, visualizer setup, crops, flips and resizes | Free |
Video is priced from what the clip actually used, worked out when it finishes, so the final number can differ a little from the estimate. Choose Standard or Best on every video screen.
Room renders and Lifestyle scenes charge each attempt. If a picture fails its quality check, a retry is another attempt. You choose how many attempts to allow in Studio settings, under Quality check (the default is 1), so nothing re-runs and charges again unless you chose it. See does a redo cost credits again?.
Renders that shoppers make in your storefront apps spend your workspace’s credits. Shoppers never see credits, and cached results are free.
Failed runs
Section titled “Failed runs”A run that fails is refunded automatically. The Refunded card in Billing & Usage shows how many credits came back this month.
When the pool runs out
Section titled “When the pool runs out”- Batch jobs pause, they don’t fail. Work that’s already finished is kept.
- The person who started the job gets an email, and the job shows that it paused because the workspace ran out of credits.
- After credits are added, open the job and press Resume. A paused job doesn’t restart on its own.
- If the batch total is more than your balance, the review step warns you that the job will pause partway.
Buy more credits
Section titled “Buy more credits”Owners and admins can buy credit packs in Billing & Usage at account.plunk.io (Buy credits, or Credit packs on the Plan tab).
| Pack | Price |
|---|---|
| 100 credits | $20 |
| 500 credits | $85 |
| 2,000 credits | $330 |
- Packs need an active subscription.
- Packs never expire.
- On Shopify, a pack is approved in Shopify and added to your store’s invoice. See billing through Shopify.
See where credits went
Section titled “See where credits went”In Billing & Usage:
- Overview shows your credit balance, when it resets, Spent this month, Generations and Refunded, plus a “Where credits went” bar for the month.
- Usage shows the last 12 months, spend by operation family (with Export CSV) and spend by person.
Only owners and admins can open Billing & Usage. Other members see the workspace’s credit balance in their profile, and Ask Plunk can tell anyone the current balance.
