Write good notes and prompts
Where your words go
Section titled “Where your words go”- Notes for this render in Customize (up to 600 characters), sent with every step, and for every product in a batch.
- Where it goes, in plain words on the Second fabric card, and Anything else? on each change card.
- Describe it in Lifestyle scenes.
- Anything else? when you render a room.
- Anything for every photo and piece type descriptions in Photos from drawings.
- The change bar in the image editor, and redo and fix notes in Review.
Habits that work everywhere
Section titled “Habits that work everywhere”- Say the physical change, not the feeling. “Swap the rug for a pale herringbone” lands; “make it cozier” doesn’t.
- One idea at a time. A single named change in a box or note beats a list of five.
- Protect what matters. “Keep the product exactly as it is” or “keep the nailhead trim” is always safe to include.
- Name the attribute and what must stay. “Recolor the throw, keep its fringe.”
- Be specific about position. “On the wall to the right of the door” beats “on the wall.”
- Redo notes are instructions. Write the problem and the fix: “seat cushions too thin, match the photo’s depth.”
- Put rules for everything in the job notes, and one-off fixes in a redo note or a box.
