Publish images and videos to Shopify
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Shopify store, connected by installing Plunk Studio from the Shopify App Store. You never type your store’s address into Studio.
- Sending to Shopify is free. Only making the images or videos uses credits.
Connect your store
Section titled “Connect your store”- Install Plunk Studio from the Shopify App Store and sign in. Your workspace is set up and your products sync from your store.
- Check the connection in Library › Catalog settings. It shows Connected to Shopify, how many products and when they last synced. Use Resync to pull changes now.
Send work to your products
Section titled “Send work to your products”- An image: open it in the image editor and click Send to Shopify. It’s added to the matching product.
- Several images: from a saved library, click Send to Shopify, pair each image with a product (find it by title or SKU), tick Set as featured image if you want, and click Send. Sending again replaces the earlier copy.
- Product videos: on a finished run, tick Add to each product on Shopify, then Approve and publish. From the clip editor, tick the Shopify option when you approve.
- Lifestyle scenes: click Use as Shopify image.
- Marketplace sets: click Send to Shopify. The first image is also attached to the product’s variant.
- Storyboard videos: on Exports, choose Add to a product on Shopify.
Studio fills in the alt text for you, using the product title.
If something looks off
Section titled “If something looks off”- Shopify options don’t show: your store isn’t connected. Install Plunk Studio from the Shopify App Store, or use Reconnect in Catalog settings.
- An image went to the wrong product: send it again to the right one; re-sending replaces the copy.
- Your plan is managed in Shopify: see How credits work.
